FAQ

A family-owned business

Alex and Kate made their careers in the restaurant industry. With years spent learning the culinary world and countless hours in the kitchen, they knew they wanted to build a life around their passion.

Alex’s love for hand-crafting fresh pasta, which he learned at a young age,  led them to start their own pasta business —Aliment Pasta Co.

What was first born as a response to the pandemic — while the restaurant industry shuts down, how can we make high-quality pasta that folks can enjoy safely at home? Was also a way to create a work environment with more balance — can we support ourselves while having time for our family?

Over the years, the business has grown and changed, just like their family.  Alex and Kate recently welcomed their second son, Loxley, into the world, and their oldest, Wylder, loves his role as Big Brother.

What was born out of necessity is now a passion — showing people what real pasta tastes like, and creating a community of more conscious connoisseurs who know where their pasta comes from and appreciate quality.
